Summer Retesting

If your student did not pass the following STAAR End of Course exams as required for graduation.
English I                                 English II                               Algebra I                              
Biology                                  US History         

Tutorials will be offered June 16 – July 3, Monday – Thursday only from 8:00 am.– 3:00 pm.

Your student will receive a schedule for tutorials on Monday, June 16, upon arrival.  Please check your student’s schedule for specific tutorial times.

Retest for the STAAR End of Course exams will be administrered on the following dates and will begin at 8:00 a.m.

English I - Monday, July 7
English II – Tuesday, July 8
Algebra 1 – Wednesday, July 9
Biology – Thursday, July 10
US History – Friday, July 11

Summer School

We would like to provide you with the following information about our summer school program. Your student must have attempted and not received credit in order to sign up for summer school in one of the classes listed below. We will attempt to notify those parents/students of credits needed following the conclusion of the academic school year, June 9. If you are concerned or have questions about your student needing summer school please contact the high school.

Summer School Registration          June 3-June 10

Summer School Classes                June 16 – July 3
                                               Monday – Thursday only
                                               8:00-3:00

Breakfast and lunch will be provided at no charge.
Transportation will not be provided.

Students can recover up to 2 full high school credits in the following courses:
English I                    Algebra I                    IPC                         World History
English II                   Algebra II                   Biology                     U.S. History
English III                  Geometry                   Chemistry                 Spanish 1

  • Students - All students in grades 9-12 can now search for scholarships online by clicking on the "Online Scholarships" link under the "Counselor's Corner" section of the Pittsburg High School website. For username and password please contact someone in the counseling office.

2013-2014 Yearbook

You may purchase a yearbook for your child for $35 through Dec. 14. After that date, the price will rise to $40. Also available for purchase are personalization and icons. Attached to the back of this page is an order form.

  • One line of personalization: $5
  • Two lines of personalization: $8
  • Three lines of personalization: $12
  • All icons are $3 apiece.
Senior Ads

  • Quarter page ads: $100
  • Half page ads: $150
  • Full page ads: $200

Order forms may be picked up from John Whitten in Room 108 at Pittsburg High School, or they can be downloaded by clicking here. Completed order forms and payment may be returned to John Whitten in Room 108 at Pittsburg High School or mailed to Pittsburg High School, 300 N. Texas St., Pittsburg, Texas 75686.

Please make all checks payable to Pittsburg High School, and write on the envelope that itís for the yearbook.
